Think back on your most memorable road trip.
Most memorable road trips are the ones where I didn’t even have a car. You’ll never forget the time you had to walk 6 miles to your wife’s place of work because she has your keys to your car. I mean, I could see my car in the lot but I couldn’t drive it nowhere because she had the keys! And yes I could’ve ubered there but I’m more cheap than I am unwilling to do a little cardio. The hardest part of the trip was walking alongside the highway, I mean gosh darn, it’s almost as if it’s not meant to be walked. The cars don’t yield for you either, you’re as good as roadkill out there if you don’t got your wits about you. I think this is how Jesus must’ve felt when he was walking through the desert for 40 days and 40 nights, I think I called on the help of god about every other intersection. The devil wasn’t tempting me along the way because I think he was the one that got me to walk it in the first place. He ain’t even have to tempt me really, he just had to leave the idea lying on the floor and probably thought “ain’t nobody stupid enough to pick this thing up”
I could only imagine his expression as he saw me almost having a heatstroke two hours later sweat covered, walking into a hospital (where my wife works as a nurse) going “WHERES MY WIFE, SHE HAS MY KEYS”. Idk where I get these hare brained ideas from, it’s gotta be genetics. That was the most memorable road trip I’ve ever had though.
