Writing theory

We all live in a house with a stranger that governs most of what we do but we’ve never met them. Our subconscious is like a roommate we’ve never seen despite them being in the same home as us. As creatives or just humans in general, have you noticed how much progress or new perspectives, you gain in a problem or idea when you’re not actively paying attention to that specific thing? You remain silent and walk and all of a sudden an idea comes to you out of nowhere. It’s like an idea knocks and your conscious self invites the guest in and cares for them as much as they are capable however, the problem needs a new approach or the idea needs more attention from a zoomed out lense. That’s when you go into your room and hear your subconscious open their door and step out there to really help the guest. And once you’re back into the room, the idea is all refreshed and awesome again. Then and only then can you send it on its way to be perceived!!
